The European Heritage Days offered an opportunity to get to know better the landscape of the Curonian Spit: on 17 September we made a tour of the trails of Nida Artists Colony traces of which are now scarce in Nida. This place used to be a favourite venue for summer holidays and creative work of German artists and intellectuals at the turn of the twentieth century. Reminiscences of that time now live on in the expressionist paintings picturing the past of the Curonian Spit, which have scattered worldwide, and in the buildings that still remember intellectual debates.

Participants of the tour guided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nijolė Strakauskaitė learnt about the extant fragments of the history of Nida Art Colony. We thank everyone who took part in the tour together with the Museums of Neringa.
