On 24 November, the Museums of Neringa invited everyone to the opening of an alternative “museum created together” with the community of Neringa which highlighted a living history exhibition CREATING A MUSEUM TOGETHER, 2017.

The exhibition hosted by the Curonian Spit History Museum represents creativity and togetherness of the local community who care about fostering the memory culture. Items at the exhibition included a variety of things witnessing to private and family lives, which are linked in multiple ways to a multifaceted, painful and invariably significant period of the Soviet power, contributed by Neringa residents and people involved with the Curonian Spit.
