Concert by CONFERO piano quartet

You are kindly invited to the concert given by CONFERO piano quartet!

WHEN: 11 August, 07:00 p.m.

WHERE: Parlour of the Thomas Mann Museum.

The concert programme includes “fantasy pieces” – works based on the themes of dance and fantasy:

  • Béla Bartók – Duos for Two Violins (arranged for violin and cello) based on Hungarian, Slovak and Rumanian folk dances and songs (15 min.)
  • Robert Schumann – Three Fantasy Pieces for Cello and Piano, Op. 73 (11 min.)
  • Luciano Berio – Divertimento for String Trio (6 min)
  • Johannes Brahms – Piano Quartet No. 1, Op. 25 (themes based on Hungarian dances in finale) (38 min.)

Confero piano quartet, which came into being at the Pažaislis Music Festival in 2016, is among the most promising young generation performers who successfully carry on their friendship that started already when studying at M. K. Čiurlionis Art Gymnasium. The quartet is composed of by violinist Algirdas Šochas, viola player Ieva Sruogytė, pianist Ugnius Pauliukonis and a French cellist Raphaël Unger.
